Or, if I click on 'add remove programs', it comes up, but then if i close it, control panel is back to it's not responding tricks.Įverything else on my computer seems to function just fine, except it taking ages after startup to recognise my broadband connection, but I'm sure that is a different issue. For example, if I click on 'appearances and themes' this window will stop responding. If i access the control panel directly via the control panel icon on the start menu, it opens up fine, but then, the above happens for the next window I open up (if a link thorugh control panel). Eventually the windows goes white and there is a 'not responding' scenario (just 'my computer').
Furthermore, none of the links work of the icons that have shown up. If I go through 'my computer' and then click on control panel, the control panel icons under 'pick a category' show up but nothing on the left does and the address bar still says 'my computer'. My control panel doesn't respond and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I've spent hours going through google for a simlar problem to this, a thousand websites later, I've come across this site :sayyes:
